Ajax’s 1994/95 season was one of the greatest in football history — the peak of the club’s modern golden era under Louis van Gaal.
Playing breathtaking, fluid football built around youth, pressing, and tactical intelligence, Ajax won the UEFA Champions League unbeaten, defeating AC Milan 1–0 in the final thanks to a late goal from Patrick Kluivert. They also won the Eredivisie, going the entire domestic season undefeated, finishing 7 points clear of Roda JC.
The squad was extraordinary — Edwin van der Sar, Frank and Ronald de Boer, Danny Blind, Clarence Seedorf, Edgar Davids, Jari Litmanen, Marc Overmars, and Patrick Kluivert formed a perfect blend of youth and experience.
Ajax also won the Dutch Super Cup and reached the Intercontinental Cup final, falling to Grêmio on penalties.
The 1994/95 Ajax side is remembered as one of the most complete and stylish teams ever — a masterclass of homegrown talent and tactical innovation.
